What you should expect from your Certified Professional Groomer:

Most Certified Professional Groomers will keep your Pet for at least a couple of hours, whether it be a rural or a city pending on the shape your pet is in. It is important to arrive at your appointment on time as this allows your Certified Professional Groomer to work with your Pet in the selected time without disrupting any other appointments following. This will help make the process of enjoying the pleasure of proper grooming for your pet and a pleasing experience for you as well. PLEASE EXERCISE YOU PET BEFORE ARRIVING, It will most certainly be appreciated.

It is also extremely important for YOU to have a Happy Loving sense to see your Pet regardless what they look like. This includes teasing and laughing at them, or better known in human terms, BULLYING. YOU would be the one who would come in and finish the pleasure of the day. If you sound or look angry or disappointed, your Pet will feel they did something wrong or be totally embarrassed. It will make their next visit very unpleasant as they sense they will be in trouble when they arrive to, what should be a pleasant, comfortable and relaxing grooming. However, if you do have an issue, it must of course be spoken about, and there are reasons for everything as well as solutions. So please try and make your Pet feel no way is it their fault, nor the Certified Professional Groomer, as any negative reaction, would be caused and implanted by yourself, forever.

A Certified Professional Grooming will always include a bath, dry; nail clipping, and ear cleaning. This should not be considered extra services. However anything other then that is considered an extra. Dematting is extra, as well as complete shave down, senior care, and scissor cut. It is important that your Certified Professional Groomer be experienced in handling all types of breeds as proper care varies with different breeds and ages. For example, some breeds cannot be shaved or clipped and other breeds cannot be shaved or clipped for the first year. Some are senior pets and need special care as well as trusting issues for the devastated abused. Your Certified Groomer will be able to predict their move with the sensitive parts that are known by them as immediate threat and trust.

Your Certified Professional Groomer should be knowledgeable on skin conditions, preventive, sustaining and maintaining all conditions. They will also know if the skin condition should be medicated and will be able to make Vet referrals when applicable. Lumps, bumps and soars need to be identified at early stages, and could save you on many Vet bills or even save your pets life. Yes, anyone can cut or shave hair, but do they really know what they are doing? Very Sad but True, a Hair Dresser of Human Hair, had taken it upon her self to groom her own dog, and with no knowledge of what to expect as early warnings signs in pet hair condition, had the end result, that it went unidentified until her pet passed on.

It is a myth that all dogs with long hair should be shaved down because it's too, hot for them. Long haired coats can be used for all elements of the weather, providing that they are kept in the command of maintenance and care. Heavily matted pets, are not getting any protection from any environmental weather of the four seasons........it is extremely painful. You are hurting your family Pet by not getting rid of the matt's and up keep on the brushing........high maintenance means at least brush once a day......if not twice a day, and must be done from the skin out...........if you can not do this, the breed with high maintenance is not for you..................There should be no reason to shave a dog other then surgery or matted to the skin. Double coated coats that shed, matts are mostly workable with the proper dryer. .

There is no such thing as a ALLERGY FREE DOG…it just means that the hair does not fall to the floor. It will matt instead and collect all kinds of foreign objects and once again can be very harmful including extremely painful to your pet if not groomed as recommended.

A regular Certified Professional grooming (at least seasonally) with regular everyday breed maintenance, will maintain your dog to allow the comforts of their styles, which are usually the reasons for purchase of that breed. One needs to do serious home work on maintenance and care for that particular breed, and then all Certified Professional Groomers will be able to obtain the style of your pet for the enjoyment of how they look as well as, the health factor of being able to be itself. There is really no need to completely shave Other then to rid matts.
